Heading down SoCal way this evening for the weekend to, among other things, do a couple more interviews for the book. I probably could have (and arguably should have) scheduled more, but I need to work through the stack of existing interviews without constantly adding more to the queue. In other words, need to get it in gear.
On the bright side, not only have I finished transcribing the first interview I worked on, the first draft of the story is now complete, hence the “WOO-HOO!” in this post’s title. It’s far from being wrapped up, but it’s also far from the “I’m getting there” status it had just a few days ago. Once it’s truly finished, and the artist has approved it, I’ll reveal the name. Hey, you’ve waited this long, right?
