I discovered something the other day when a post from here was picked up on over at Yahoo Buzz, for several hours riding high in the Politics area. Well, to be precise two things. One, when you write something on the conservative side of things and for whatever reason it becomes featured on a site for which the main purpose is apparently promoting most everything that appears in the Huffington Post you’re going to get a lot of response of a less than complimentary nature. Second and far more important, while it’s nice having a large audience (for once) it’s far more rewarding spending time online in the company of a small circle of friends.
I confess to neither saying thank you enough to, nor giving enough thanks for, the friends I’ve been blessed with and by in this modest little waystation on the information superhighway. Stephen and Michele, Mike, Ron, Clance’, Tina, and everyone else whose names I have yet to learn due to lack of introduction — c’mon, don’t be shy — to all of you individually and collectively I can never put into words how much you mean to me. I truly love you all, and I am honored to be among you.
If somehow somewhere down the line I become more commonly read, it’ll be all right for what it is. But it will never take the place of how truly beautiful it is to be with you.
Never.

Well, sir, I do not know who you are, yet. But, I’m relieved and thankful to have had God direct me to you. I am a middle aged, conservative, fundamental Christian male, who (of course) doesn’t have the right to express my beliefs and /or opinions…because I am a Christian (a religious fanatic) and a Conservative (right-wing nut job). I’m a radio announcer, a dj, in a small, liberal Massachusetts town, so, you see what I believe is, of course, “wacky.” I stumbled upon your site because I have to surf the net for whatever the “buzz” is so I have material for on-the-air. I was stuck, mostly, with Yahoo’s Buzz, which is nothing but sickening, except for having found your site thru them! If you want to check ME out, you can go to http://www.whai.com, click on Morning Show and that’s my portion of our site. I’m just so tired of listening to the slanted media in this country. You know, as I do, that it’s all in God’s hands, as He lifts up one and puts down another, and I just keep falling back on that. BUT, it’s unbelievable that no matter what is said, or happens, the Satan controlled, Liberal media twists it, or if it IS positive for McCain/Palin, they ignore it all together. I feel that this country is headed, quickly, towards its demise and will come to an end as all empires do, BUT, maybe, this time, as every people has thought thruout, this really IS the end time, and God has to have happen that which He has to have happen. I’ll continue to pray for you, for all of us, and I hope to develope a long standing email relationship with you. Thank you for everything. Jay

Jerry, I found your blog via Yahoo, but I clicked on it because I was intrigued by the fact they had linked to a view that included the word, “pray.” I have added it to my favorites now. Suffice to say I am interested in reading more and was pleasantly surprised to learn you are a fellow Lost Dogs fan. I have seen them twice, but lament the fact that they did not come to NJ this summer as they did in 2006 & 2007. I realize the high-profile of your previous post made you an open target for nay-sayers, but I am thankful I clicked your link last week. God bless and see you here, there, or in the air! In Him,Michael Gross

I’m pretty sure that when you said “Ron”, you meant, ron at roneaston.blogspot.com…
Thanks for the interesting read everyday!

Get a load of the ego on this guy…
Seriously, yup it’s you. Who did you think I was referring to — Ronald McDonald?
