Police tonight are searching for the suspect in a shocking assault that took place during Representative Beatrice Blabbergrout’s townhall meeting on the healthcare reform bill currently before Congress.
The victim, concerned private citizen Routista Ringenose, spoke with our reporter just moments after the unprovoked attack. Clutching her purple t-shirt in a fashion that mostly obscured the SEIU logo, Ringenose stated she was exercising her rights as an independent member of society when the following took place:
“I don’t know what brought it on,” she sobbed. “I was getting up to speak in favor of the bill, which is my right as an American citizen, when this woman sitting next to me said excuse me I’m still speaking. I said listen lady, you’ve said enough. Maybe I pointed at her, I don’t know. Last thing I remember, the ink on my note cards the site steward… er, another concerned private citizen gave me to glance at in case I got nervous and forgot what I was supposed to say started running because there was coffee all over them. Everything after that is a blur.”
Witnesses to the incident recall the perpetrator making odd statements during the brutality. “She said something about mystic monks something or other,” one noted. “Is that like from a Dan Brown novel? And then while she was wailin’ on sister Routista… uh, the innocent victim, she was going on about ‘you’re probably a cafeteria Catholic too.’ Must be some new way of distributing communion they came up with since the last time I went to church seventeen Christmases ago.”
Police describe the suspect as a Caucasian female wearing a Tony Stewart t-shirt.
More details as they become available.
