From my post at the Examiner:
Earlier this morning, the family of Kansas’ Kerry Livgren family sent a message to friends expressing guarded hope about his condition. Livgren suffered a stroke Tuesday morning.
The message notes the family is encouraged that Livgren is not exhibiting any “sagging of the face.” This symptom, also known as facial droop, occurs when paralysis of the facial muscles takes place and is one of the side effects that can take place due to a stroke.
The message adds that a blood clot, surgically removed yesterday, was located in the area of the brain which deals with language and high-end skills. It continues with mentioning the family’s prayers that little if any damage occurred as a result of the clot, and that Livgren will undergo a CAT scan this afternoon in an effort to determine the area’s condition.
The family asks that all believers continue to lift Livgren up in prayer.

God Bless You Kerry & Family
We are praying for you
Love & Blessings
