First off, do not refer to me by name unless you know me. Which you don’t. It’s very rude.

Next, it is not up to me to fact-check the book. The Associated Press assigned eleven – eleven – reporters to the task and could come up with only six minor errors. Take their word for it.

I could care less about “many people.” “Many people” also assert the world is flat and Elvis is working in a 7-11 in Montana.

You’re the one making accusations against Palin that she is being dishonest in the book. It’s up to you to prove yourself correct, not me to disprove your statements. Feel free to have at it.

Jerry, not sure why you censored my link. Anyone can look it up. Many people have expressed great concern about her truthfulness…Sullivan is only one. As a evangelical, Bible-believing Christian, this concerns me. The facts of stories often seem bent to her advantage (from her perspective) even though they differ from reality. When she is confronted (or unable to answer tough questions) she claims persecution by the media. And she basically avoids being in these situations. She prefers softball questions from Oprah and Barbara Walters. As VP candidate she did exactly zero press conferences allowing open questions from the press. The media exists to ask tough questions (and they often do a lousy job of it), but as a politician its your job to be prepared to answer tough questions.

So she avoids all this and likes to act like she is Mrs. Tough? It smacks of hypocrisy to me.

I guess I was just wondering on what you based your comment that the book seemed “honest” to you. Was that based on some verification of its claims by you? Or is “earnest” more the word you are looking for?
